Hello darling you,

Let’s Pause.
Maybe you want to place your hand on your heart for a moment. Maybe you can feel the sound of your own life, thrumming away, right there under your hand. How does it keep on beating? It’s not plugged in. There are no batteries. Who commands it to pump red liquid into your arms, your brain, your baby toe? And why does it never take a rest? Always, every beat is followed by another. No scarcity here. What can this mean?
Let’s pause.
Let’s sit with it for a moment.
Allow the miracle of abundance to sink in a little.
Let’s sit with it for a moment.
Allow the miracle of abundance to sink in a little.
I don’t know what world you grew up in but I bet there was scarcity somewhere. Maybe you didn’t have enough food or maybe not enough love. Maybe there was scarcity of creativity or beauty. Maybe you grew up with some kind of smallness that didn’t allow for some kind of bigness in you; a scarcity of glory-holding. Maybe there wasn’t enough time for you or not enough kindness.
Perhaps this sense of not enough has sunk down into your bones, perhaps it’s even in the marrow filling them. If so, I can’t change that for you. It’s your work to do. But maybe you want to take these few moments that you’ve spent to come here to this space and listen to the message your heart speaks.
What was it again?
Oh, yes.
Each beat always followed by another.
A lesson in plenty.
An abundance of heartbeats.
An abundance of love.
When I feel the strands of famine tightening, when I am in want and it seems as if there isn’t enough — let me pause, hand over heart, and remember. Here is something that has continued giving, never stopping, never resting, always pulsating her love throughout my body.
Blessed is the one who pauses to listen,
for she shall hear the unending rhythm of abundance.
